Interactive Content_Shipping Guidlines_Walmart

This document provides comprehensive shipping and sample submission guidelines for suppliers sending products to Walmart for eCommerce content creation, including photography and video capture. It outlines the required standards and processes to ensure products arrive in optimal condition and can be efficiently received, reviewed, and processed by Walmart’s eComm Studio team. The guidelines are designed to reduce delays, prevent reshoots, and maintain consistency across product detail pages.

The file begins by detailing packing list requirements. Each shipment must include a clear and detailed packing list specifying the supplier name, product identifiers such as UPC, EAN, or GTIN, and the quantity of each item or sample included. Walmart allows suppliers to include the product list provided in the original request to simplify documentation, helping streamline receiving and inventory verification.

A significant portion of the document focuses on product and packaging integrity. Suppliers are instructed to ensure that all products arrive in a condition suitable for high-quality video and photography. Non-sealed products must be inspected prior to shipment to confirm they are free from scratches, dents, scuffs, or cosmetic defects that could affect on-camera appearance. Sealed retail products should not be opened; instead, they must be packaged securely to minimize movement, corner damage, or compression during transit. The guidelines clearly state that retail packaging must arrive intact, without crushed edges, tears, creases, residue, or external labels, and fragile items should be double-boxed with sufficient internal padding.

The document also includes category-specific instructions. Products that are live or temperature-controlled must be coordinated in advance via Walmart’s designated email contact. Items requiring advanced assembly (over 30 minutes) must be pre-assembled before shipment. For buildable products such as puzzles or construction sets, suppliers are required to send both one fully assembled unit for expedited review and photography, and one standard unassembled retail package to demonstrate the customer experience and support quality assurance.
