Seiko 8F - Battery Replacement
The Seiko 8F series movements are high-accuracy quartz calibers with a perpetual calendar function (correct until February 28, 2100) and ultra-long battery life (typically 10 years). They feature a thermo-compensated quartz oscillator for ±20 seconds/year accuracy.
When the battery depletes (often shown by a 2-second jump of the second hand), correct replacement and reset are essential to preserve calendar accuracy.
